Your Questions, Answered

Find quick answers to common questions about our services and cardiac care.

Please bring a valid photo ID, your insurance card, a list of all current medications (including over-the-counter supplements), and any relevant medical records or referral letters from your primary care physician.

We advise you to wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes. Avoid a heavy meal for at least 2-3 hours before the test. Please consult with our staff about taking your regular medications on the day of the test.

We accept a wide range of insurance plans. Please call our office with your insurance details, and our administrative staff will be happy to verify your coverage.

An ECG (Electrocardiogram) measures the heart's electrical activity and is great for detecting rhythm problems. An Echocardiogram is an ultrasound of the heart that provides detailed images of its structure and function, showing how well the heart is pumping and if there are any valve issues. Both are non-invasive and provide different, complementary information.

For patients with existing heart conditions, we typically recommend check-ups every 3-6 months. For preventive care, annual check-ups are usually sufficient for adults over 40, or as recommended by your primary care physician.

Common warning signs include chest pain or discomfort, shortness of breath, nausea, light-headedness, and pain in the arms, neck, jaw, or back. If you experience these symptoms, seek immediate medical attention by calling emergency services.

Angioplasty is considered a minimally invasive procedure, not major surgery. It's typically performed through a small incision in the groin or wrist, and most patients can go home the same day or after an overnight stay.

Most patients can return to normal activities within 1-2 weeks after pacemaker insertion. However, you should avoid heavy lifting and vigorous activities for 4-6 weeks to allow the device to settle properly.
